We watched this again last night. It’s one of our all-time favorites. (@DavidJanet, @DaveRubin). We have the DVD (I know…old school) but it’s also on Amazon prime. It offers beautiful artartistic imagery with breathtaking scenery, excellent acting and drama. It’s a story that probably wouldn’t be made today however so important to our times, questions of prejudice and redemption. I adore the brilliant and wise closing statement by Max Von Sydow, (who just passed away in March 2020). “Every so often Ordinary people like you are called upon to turn in a report card on the human race.” (not sure if that’s verbatim).
So sad to hear about the passing of my friend, my mentor and my bonus grandfather, Larry King.
“What does it all mean? The answer is I don’t know.”

I keep asking myself is anyone honest anymore?
