I lost my father in 2018. Like many of his generation, he was completely without any political ideology. He was perplexed as to why all three of his children, one a single mother, one a traditional Christian conservative, and one a gay artist, all somehow were strong ideological conservatives. Until the day he died, he believed in "voting for the candidate", and not for the policy.
I was disappointed to find out that he will be voting for Biden this year.
Woke up early today so I could bask in the delight of my tree. There is something special about all of it. I'm so grateful for all of the amazing people in my life. And somehow this tree represents that.
