Today I landed on the YouTube homepage with my browser in 'private mode'. Without anything tailored specifically for me, I scrolled through the endless rows of tripe, empty entertainment, and vapid faces, and had a very brief moment, perhaps only a single second, of longing to live in that world, to be ignorant and blissful.
Of course, I shook it off, knowing that l am not meant for such a meaningless life. None of us are.
Instead, I watched a lecture by Peter Boghossian from 2019. I highly recommend it to people just starting out in their attempt to understand the madness engulfing our culture.
Keep at it, everyone! And thanks for being part of this refuge for sanity and good will.
