Sometimes life comes at you fast. Just got word this morning that myself, along with 90% of the people in department I work in, are being furloughed for the next 2 months. I’ll keep some anonymity here and not say who I work for but it’s a large company that was deemed an essential business, yet with everyone staying home and not spending like normal even essential businesses are really struggling.
This is not a pity post. I know many have been in this situation for months already. But I’m very optimistic that things will work out and I really do trust that God uses all bad things for good. Being a Christian does not guarantee a life without pain and suffering. God doesn’t “let” these sicknesses, natural disasters, and things happen because He doesn’t care. So instead of moping and asking “why ...
I am thankful for my Heavenly Father and for everything that he does for me. I am thankful for Jesus Christ, for his atonement and mercy. For His Gospel. For the scriptures, prayer, a living prophet.
I am thankful to live in this wonderful country with its inspired Constitution.
I am thankful that families can be together forever and for temples.
I am thankful for all you awesome people and for your kindness and friendship, even though we haven't met in person.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! #givethanks
