Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday! Friends and Refugees, Early Birds & Later Dayers, Conversants and Lurkers all gathered at the Rubin Report. A morning prayer and a couple of fun quotes from fun quotes. Tuesday are my Mondays since I try to make Monday my day off, or at least away from the office. Phone messages, e-mails, appointments and a meeting with a family for a funeral this Saturday. Two Monday's ago we had the funeral for Sandy, this Saturday it will be for her husband Jerry. Jerry was in the hospital for Sandy's funeral and never made it home, may they know heling & communion on the other side of the veil.
STRIKE AT THE ROOT
This is my prayer to You, O God — strike, strike at the root of poverty in my heart.
Give me the strength to bear lightly my joys and sorrows.
Give me the strength to make my love fruitful in service.
Give me the strength never to disown the poor or bend my knees before insolent might.
Give me the strength to raise my mind ...
Burger with egg, onion, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and special sauce on a cauliflower flat.
As some of you have noted we do eat a lot of red meat around here. Did swordfish last night. (Next pic!)
What’s on your agenda for today?
