An interesting thing I thought about while reading @DaveRubin book, as well as The Madness of Crowds and Jonah Goldberg’s “Suicide of the West”. People on the right, Libertarians, and as we’ve seen Classical Liberals seem to be people made up of a certain type of character. They’re ready and willing to sacrifice themselves for their convictions. In certain circumstances even die for them. I don’t think the same can be said of the radical left and progressives. They don’t sacrifice themselves for their beliefs so much as they’re clamoring to dispense of others for the cause. Make everyone but them the sacrificial lambs. It signals to me a level of cowardice, but also a lack of conviction in what they’re actually espousing.
