Hey There Rubinites,

This Week on The Rubin Report:Â
This week was just one major news article/clip after another. As always I made sure to give you guys my exclusive insights and of course include some surprises along the way.
On Monday I welcomed the Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles to co host a special direct message segment with me and start off the week right. We began by discussing JD Vance’s successful turning of New York Times' Lulu Garcia-Navarro’s gotcha question regarding illegal immigration and the housing shortage against her. Additionally, also referenced the bizarre moment on; ABC News’ where Martha Raddatz minimized Venezuelan gangs taking over only a “handful” of apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado. We moved on to CNN’s Scott Jennings pointing out how the Harris campaign's pandering to voters, like having Tim Walz go hunting, isn't tricking black voters to vote for Kamala Harris and CNN showing how current polling is showing new party affiliation data that could tip the election in favor of Republicans. The two of us also talked about ”The Young Turks’” Ana Kasparian telling Jillian Michaels what finally made her leave the Left and realize the dangers of “wokeism” as well as Michael Shellenberger telling Joe Rogan how the Democratic Party has changed in disturbing ways. To end the day off we took a look at Donald Trump breaking the news that he will be appearing on Joe Rogan's show to the Nelk Boys on the “Full Send Podcast.” How do you think that is going to go? Drop the questions and topics you think Rogan will ask about in the comment section.
On Tuesday I initiated our segment by talking about how Bill Maher’s audience reacted to his analysis of Kamala’s latest poll numbers. I also mentioned that conversation between “Real Time” guests Buck Sexton and Laura Coates where he explained to her why the Democratic Party is losing so many working-class male voters. I thought one of the highlighted sections of the day was when we referenced Charlamagne tha God admitting to Andrew Schulz that his “Flagrant” interview with Donald Trump might just be helping him get elected and Nina Turner explaining to CNN’s Abby Phillip why Barack Obama’s lecturing of black male voters is completely backfiring. I made sure to discuss Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy losing his mind over Democrats gaslighting over the qualities of Kamala Harris before pivoting to our conclusion where I took a look at Elon Musk presenting a very reasonable idea to address the dangers of illegal immigration at the southern border.
Wednesday was just full of contentious conversations for both political candidates so I began the day by talking about Donald Trump’s heated interview with Bloomberg editor in chief John Micklethwait at the Economic Club of Chicago over the efficacy of tariffs as well as Kamala Harris’ disaster interview with “The Breakfast Club” Charlamagne tha God. I moved onto “Meet the Press'” Kristen Welker being shocked by pollster Steve Kornacki revealing how Trump is pulling ahead of Kamala Harris in almost all key polling categories as well as MSNBC’s John Heilemann telling “Morning Joe’s” Joe Scarborough that it’s time for Democrats to start panicking. Now how crazy is that?! Our daily DM also covered Larry David revealing to CNN’s Chris Wallace that his Trump derangement syndrome has only worsened and Nancy Pelosi telling "Politics Weekly America" how her relationship with Joe Biden has disintegrated since the Biden coup. To cap off a great show we referenced that clip of Ryan Girdusky educating CNN’s Abby Phillip and Bakari Sellers about the Ferguson effect.
Thursday. Boy, Thursday was just insanity. I began our DM by talking about Kamala Harris' disastrous interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, where he asked her if she was partially responsible for the border crisis and the murders of Rachel Morin, Laken Riley, and Jocelyn Nungaray, which were allegedly committed by illegal migrants. I also discussed Baier asking Harris if she still advocated for taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgeries for prison inmates. I really have to commend Baier. He did an amazing job, particularly considering his revelation that behind-the-scenes the Harris team had attempted to sabotage the interview from the start. I finished by discussing Bill Clinton’s inappropriate remarks at Ethel Kennedy’s funeral as well as my thoughts on a few other subjects. As always I hosted a special “ask me anything” question-and-answer session based on a wide range of questions from all of you here on Locals. Now’s your chance! Make sure to brainstorm a question to ask me for next week and your’s just might be featured on our show.Â
Today, I had my weekly roundtable with the one and only Sage Steele! Hop on now to see our conversation.
This Week’s Sit Down Interviews:Â
This week we released so many sit-down interviews! To begin I released the second part of my interview with former Ambassador to Israel David Friedman about the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, Hezbollah's firing of thousands of missiles into Northern Israel, how Israel has severely damaged Hezbollah through military precision with its attack on Hezbollah's pager system, the importance of deterrence in the Middle East, how Israel's recent actions have shifted the power balance, Netanyahu's leadership and so much more!
I also had a great conversation with Dinesh D’Souza where we talked about his initial skepticism of Donald Trump, how Trump became a champion for the ignored people, why cultural elites now loathe him, Trump’s underestimation of government corruption, Trump’s learning curve regarding institutions like the FBI and CDC, how a potential second Trump term could correct past mistakes, the growing wide-tent political coalition with figures like RFK Jr. and Elon Musk and a an incredible amount more!
To finish off a fantastic week of sit-down interviews I talked to Spencer Klavan about the inspiration behind his book, "Light of the Mind, Light of the World: Illuminating Science Through Faith," how the COVID-19 pandemic revealed the dangers of treating science as a quasi-religion, the historical relationship between science and religion, where early science was rooted in religious belief, how quantum physics points to a complex reality that includes consciousness and transcendent principles, the need to reintegrate faith and science for a more humane approach, the potential and risks of AI and the role of human consciousness in understanding reality.
I want to know which Sit-Down was YOUR favorite! Tell me below.Â
