Such sad news to wake up to. A park in nearby Binghamton NY was set on fire late last night after an otherwise peaceful day of protesting in the area. This was a public part built with grant money, that was designed to give maximum access to kids with disabilities. People from all walks of life would congregate there, different skin colors, ethnic backgrounds, etc. When police would come by on patrols they would bring candy to give out to the kids. Eavery year for Easter there would be an enormous free Easter egg hunt for anyone who wanted to participate, which would draw more than a thousand kids and families (no small feat for an area out size). But now it has been reduced to ashes and the only people who will suffer are the kids who have nothing to do with any of the political turmoil.

Did you know 22 veterans commit suicide everyday? Did you know that the suicide rate has gone up with the general public tremendously this year because of isolation? Just be aware when you’re engaging with people around you. We never know what others are going through. And holidays...during Covid...job losses...financial strain...an effed up election...are a recipe for this. Be extra kind right now. I only say this because I am a veteran and I’ve worked with them.
