I had to switch off BBC Question Time last night, I almost wanted to cry, honestly. David Lammy MP repeating over and over that there is systemic racism in the UK, while presenting no evidence whatsoever, only one sided information about the numbers of black people who have died in police custody since 1990. No comparative numbers given, why is that? Donna Kinnair, Chief Executive of Royal College Of Nursing also making statements to the effect of there being systemic racism in the NHS. Again no evidence, I work in the NHS and I say I have never seen this affect my BAME colleagues. I would say to both of these high achievers this: Check your privilege and see if the facts and see if they really support your political narrative.
