A good friend of mine sent me an article arguing that it's wrong to say "All Lives Matter." I have my views on which slogan is better, but stating them misses the point. Endless debates over sloganeering are divisive, and not at all conducive to free, open, and well-intentioned discussion -- and that is exactly the kind of discussions we will need if we are to unify and address the systemic plagues of poverty and lack of opprttunity that are at the root of the problems of the day.
