Black Lives Matter called for a strike today and encouraged people to stay away from work and participate in a silent march. I heard a representative on the local news this morning saying that they want black people to be at the front and then allies who are people of color and then white allies. A march against racism sorting people by race? I kept thinking, "Whites have to go to the back of the bus."

Below is an excerpt from a Seattle Times news entry (at least white people got to come before the bikes).

Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County said the event is a Black-led event and is asking that participants respect the following march procession order:

  • Black Lives Matter leadership
  • Black youth
  • Black community members
  • People of color
  • Elected and appointed officials, political candidates
  • White Allies
  • Bikes

Just sat down with Kim Klacik about her appearance on The View this morning which is tearing up the Internet right now...

View as I drove home from a neighboring town where my friend's home was saved twice- once last night when it came near her backyard and then again today when a hotspot by her house flared up. Grateful for firefighters and their work saving her home. Even during all this craziness there is much to be thankful for.
