@Blast8 Ohayo gozaimasu, Frankie. It's a little late, but I wanted to do a little weeding this morning before the June gloom (morning low clouds typical for June in SoCal) gave way to the blazing sun. I also wanted to research/hear Harold Budd's "Totems of the Red-Sleeve Warrior". I understood most of your references in the first two chapters, except your music references. I see why now. I do not listen to synthesized music. The piece reminds me of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, but synthesized with chimes. I've moved on and tried The Child with a Lion, but I do not like it, either. LOL. I got "into" Old Fashioneds in the last year or so. Funny you refer to that. I actually have Luxardo Maraschino Cherries in my fridge to top it. I'll have to ask my husband to make me one this evening. Overall, my impression from the first two chapters is that you have experienced sadness beyond my comprehension, and maybe feel guilt that you're alive yet your son is not.
