So actress Alison Brie, who does voiceover work just came out and apologized for her voice acting role as Diane Nguyen in the comedy show Bojack Horseman, because she “realizes now that people of color should always voice people of color.” So acting no longer is actually acting, because pretending to be somebody on screen or stage is deemed offensive unless you’re actually that person. Black people ARE allowed to play characters that are white or have been written as white characters in the past, but white people AREN’T allowed to play anyone but white people. And considering that the number of roles being written for white people is drastically decreasing because ya know, racism and stuff, these people are going to be out of work. Oh and gays can only play gays. And straight can only play straight. Trans roles are reserved for the whole of 4 people who are trans in the Hollywood community, because acting as trans is also offensive. But because there arent a lot of trans...
