Seems scary right?
Except it isn't based on sample collection date. It's based on reported date. In reality this just highlights how extraordinarily low our positivity rate has been. Based on sample collection date, our highest positive cases to date? 7/3 with 716.
New York peaked over 10k/day.
CA is on 7/2 around 9700.
WA has never broken 1000 positive results in a day. Things have picked up because it's working through the rural communities. Keep the nursing homes closed to visitors, and other elderly sequestered with extra precautions.
No need to panic.
