New Vesperisms Podcast Episode! Here's a talk I gave in June about the parallels between the 14th century Plague and our own time, particularly the overlap of social movements.
This summer, when I was getting ready to release my latest novel, A Cloud of Outrageous Blue, I began to notice some really uncanny parallels between what was going on socially as a result of the pandemic and lockdown, and the dynamics of the Great Plague of 1348, which the novel is about. So I guess this is my "Hello!" to you all. I'm just happy to be here.
