Here's an example of the lunacy of the UK governments response to COVID today.
I spoke with the head of finance at the school I'm working in. It has 1,100 students and about 100 staff. They are being required in September (along with numerous other requirements) to provide 2 face masks per day per student and member of staff. That's 2,400 masks per day (12,000 a week), and have hygienic disposal for them. It works out at a cost about £5,000 ($6,200) per week. The govt won't pay for them. The head of finance said the school would be firing teachers (to balance the books) by Christmas.
The UK Govt are clearly not thinking these decisions through properly.
An utter shambles!
