People have been moving from California to Texas for a long time, but here in Austin I've recently been hearing lots of stories about a big acceleration in that trend. We've also noticed around our suburban neighborhood that every house for sale is selling within a day or two of going on the market. Decided to check the differential U-Haul prices for truck rental. For a 20 foot truck, Austin to LA is $823, while LA to Austin is more than 250% higher, $2,973. I just hope they realize it's leftist policies that are driving them away, and don't bring them along in the move.

Happy Tuesday Rubin Repot Friends & Refugees! A little country photography by Julie Voss and a little quote.

“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” – J. R. R. Tolkien
