I wanted to share a tiny bit of good news.
It was the last day of school before the summer holidays at the school I teach in.
Given the fact we'd all finished our work, and we had less lessons to teach with the reduced timetable, we had time to sit and chat.
Teachers from different departments, who normally are like ships that pass in the night.
Anyway, a number of us sat and chatted for about 2 hours (off and on). There were men, women, different races, a real mix (but no progressives).
We had real conversations about race, COVID, BREXIT, immigration, religion, BLM basically anything controversial.
No-one was offended, we disagreed politely and listened to each others opinions. We found common ground. I was really surprised. Virtually no-one found the MSM to be a creditable unbiased source.
It was a Roman Catholic school, and honestly it was really cool. I felt a sense of relief that we could have reasonable open and honest discussions.
Faith, at least partially ...
