I don't know that I would say that I'm completely anti-city, but I have noticed at least one big problem with them.

I lived most of my life in a town of about 1,600 people, spent a few years in the country, and have spent the last 11 years in a city of about 300,00. The relationships I've formed in the bigger city tend to be much more shallow than the ones I formed in the small town. Add internet relationships on top of that and they get shallower still.

Of course it could just mean that I'm becoming a shallower person, so I'd like to hear from others who've made a similar switch. Have you noticed the same thing, the opposite, or no difference at all?
