We had dinner with my in-laws the other night and had an interesting moment talking to my father-in-law about all this COVID mess. As someone who reads "the paper" religiously and watches the nightly news despite agreeing it is "slanted", he had never heard that anyone was being successfully treated in the hospital (let alone the availability of effective and inexpensive treatments). His assumption, based on his mainstream information, was, if you got the Rona you went to the hospital to die on a ventilator.

Needless to say, he was a bit rattled when I showed him articles and videos of credentialed, expert, practicing medical doctors (he doesn't want "to hear about what chiropractors and acupuncturists have to say on the matter" ) from New York, to Texas, to Cali, treating serious cases with 90%-100% success.

Just this morning, I found another doc using the HCQ concoction to save lives...despite all the "experts" saying it is ineffective. ...

Horatio, the ever-learned scholar, has a difficult time believing in Hamlet’s ghost, and this sort of false certainty rings true in our heavily material, atheist, “rational” culture.

And though it applies to all of us - this tendency we all have to cling to our ideas of true and false, right and wrong, fact and fiction - I see the above quote far more relevant to the media and the far left in their continuous demand to make every realm of life political: the arts, comedy, family, love, nature, learning, etc, to insist they have it correct, that their “philosophy” is all there is or at least ...
