One has to wonder what Trump's end game is on the riots. So far he has exercised restrain by not calling in National Guard troops, but instead using federal agents. I think he is doing it this way because he does not want to provide Dems with a political club to beat him with right before the election, which was Antifa's goal all along.
If NG troops came up against rioters, violence would be likely and some rioters would probably be killed sooner or later. Dems would pounce on this, declaring that their claims that Trump is a 'dictator' were validated. That could cost him the election.
So then the obvious question is, if Trump is reelected (which right now looks fairly certain) and his hand is no longer stayed, what will he do? I think NG troops would be deployed to hotspots before Christmas to put down the riots and restore order. I would also not be surprised to see the deployment of newer high-tech non-lethal riot control weapons, such as the Active...
