Good morning from Chance. His first night sleeping safe and sound in his new home went well. He had some adjustment and was restless. He finally fell asleep Soundly at 3am. His name was Prince. Because of his lack of hearing he doesn’t know his name. He has a new and BETTER name. Chance. Here is a picture of him this morning. He was given a chew stick and didn’t know what to do with it. He also slept on his first dog bed. Based on his reaction to a soft bed, it’s an indication that he was left outside 24/7 with no soft bed. 🥲 There will be a lot of firsts for this sweet boy. We attended my daughter's graduation this past weekend. Baylor is a private Christian University in Texas and had no protests for terrorists on their campus. Toward the end of the graduation a girl pulls out a Palestinian flag and just stands in the middle of the stage. The whole arena erupted in "boos". They took way to long to get her off stage and allowed her to sit back with the graduates. I found out later we were next to her family which I thank husband for not telling me until later or I would have had some words to say to them. We should be protesting to get the hostages out not to support terrorists.
BTW my daughter graduated with a Master's degree in vocal music performance (aka an Opera singer) she's had full rides because of her talent. She will be attending Florida State University again on a full ride for another Master's in Opera Directing. She had the choice of Eastman Conservatory in NY or FSU and I'm thrilled she picked Florida!
Yesterday I took my two sweet little boys to the groomer, and I saw the sweet Dog waiting to get his grooming. He looked in really rough shape. I asked the groomers what the story was and they just said the owner wasn’t taking proper care of the dog so I inquired about placing him in a better home.
I spoke to the owner directly and got him to agree to place the dog with us. I am happy to report that we saved a dogs life yesterday. The poor sweetie was abused and neglected. My best friend adopted him and I’ll be eternally grateful to him. I paid the vet bill yesterday. The dog has a long recovery, but he is the sweetest little soul ever. Part of me would love to report this guy he deserves to be in jail for treating his poor dog for seven years. The dog has such bad infection in his ears that his ears of closed up and he may never hear again there will be a lot of vet visits and a lot of care, but the guy deserves so much love.
